As you may have noticed, the blog has gotten a little quiet over the past two weeks. We were very busy preparing a sneak preview of SevenSnap, which we would like to present to you on Sunday, August 23.

Next Sunday, you will finally learn what SevenSnap is actually going to be. For this purpose we have developed a special website and, among other things, will show you a SevenSnap video.

At this time, I work mostly on organizing the translation, since the “sneak preview” will also be available in English language. I am also busy with press releases.

We all look forward to Sunday night and are excited to find out how you like SevenSnap.

The last few days brought a number of new developments.

Stefan, our designer, delivered the initial drafts for the new SevenSnap website, which is due to launch on August 23. The website is focused on explaining the “SevenSnap Idea” and boasts an “Incentive Campaign” for you. The object of the campaign is still a secret.

In the meantime, our iPhone lead developer “StuFF mc” has published version 0.2.3 of the iPhone prototype. This prototype already features the entire navigation of our iPhone app in its final look and feel. The whole frontend has been converted to the NIB-format. Next week the app will be filled with fake data, so it can actually be used. Web services and the backend will be developed in the following weeks.

I haven’t been twiddling thumbs either and taken care of some backend prototyping and have been trying to acquire a new investor. My efforts were successful and a GmbH company will now be set up for the “SevenSnap Project”.

The new investor is particularly important for SevenSnap, since he doesn’t just provide monetary funds, but also a first-rate international network. The investor in question has already accompanied a number of IPOs of internet companies and presents a meaningful asset to our project. All of our investors will be introduced shortly.
We look forward to August 23. Then you will finally learn what SevenSnap has to offer.

After applying the new design, thanks to Stefan, we move forward.

First of all a new “Intro Page” for SevenSnap.com is planned. Basically you can chose if you want to read the corporate blog, German and English. Of course this page will be upgraded as soon as possible to show the App we working on and further information.

Also our team is growing and so we can provide an english blog and move forward to our next milestone – Stefan will work on the design of our iPhone App.

Currently our designer Stefan is working to reach the next milestone in developement – the layout of SevenSnap.com!
We looking forward ot launch the new design in the next two weeks!
Our iPhone developer and me working currently on the structural layout of the app and optimizations. The most important issue we focus on is the usability. Basically we look at every screen of the app and thinking about “What does a user want to do here, what has the user to see here?”. The funny thing here is that you often lose the sight for the core function over the details. So we experienced that these “Back to the Roots” seasons are really useful.
The current schedule states that the first prototype app will be done end of this week and then we look further into screen design.
